The Hunt

The place to see and be seen this weekend is the Race at Far Hills aka The Hunt. Moorland Farms in Somerset Country New Jersey will be the hotspot this Saturday as tons of preppy students and socialites gather to watch the race. Well not really watch, but purely attend this social event. The Hunt includes a giant talgate party and is a mix of countryside and class. It has become a tradition amongst HWS upperclassmen to attend The Hunt. In spirit of the races this weekend and these vintage riding posters, here's how to take on the equestrian style.

This plaid shirt with suede elbow patches by Rugby Ralph Lauren embodies the equestrian clothing style. http://www.rugby.com/

This Miranda Fitted Jacket is the perfect blazer if you want to look like a true rider. It is a Sage/Blue Donegal tweed and has a velvet and tweed notch collar. With its button placket, this jacket is both femine and equestrian-esque. It has a flouncy flair in the back and corset shape to make it stand out from most traditional riding jackets. Also by Rugby Ralph Lauren.

These chocolate brown Tory Burch Winnie Rain Riding Boot are high-fashion and sophisticated. Although these boots don't look it, they are made of rubber. The shaft is chocolate patent leather with the logo plate on top. The stacked heel and zipper in the back complete the shoe. I am obsessed! The Winnie Rain Boot comes in lots of other color combinations, including black with a tan shaft.

The Hunter Lady N Riding Boot is another chic alternative, but a bit more affordable than the Torch Burch boot. It has a canvas leg and rubber sole, and is lined with a tartan print. The boot also comes with a black leg and rubber sole, as well as a brown leg and chocolate sole. http://hunterboots.com/
Happy trails!
